Nail Art Is Dead - Barbara Kruger Inspired Nail Art
This year, for "stimulated by art work" day of the 31 Day challenge, I tackled an concept that i've contemplated within the past. My nails are stimulated by way of the work of Barbara Kruger, a conceptual artist who regularly addresses how words and photographs, specially in the media, can have an effect on our identities and assumptions about reality.
Her signature style capabilities black and white photos overlaid with declarative textual content, regularly accentuated inner crimson rectangles. superb Kruger portions consist of "I keep therefore i am," "Your body is a battleground," and "No." I got a touch cheeky with my interpretation and chose "Nail artwork is lifeless," a sensationalist idea that I once in a while see pop up on my feeds. without a doubt I disagree!
Nail polishes used:

OPI Coca Cola Red
i'll let you know what, this became horrifyingly time consuming. The letters are freaking tiny and that i wanted them to appearance a positive manner to fit the font that Kruger uses. the bottom changed into clean -- I used a rectangular nail artwork brush to color on some brushy marks within the fashion of the Nailasaurus streaky watercolor nail art.
Then I freehanded the crimson rectangles and text, which took me a good hour and a 1/2 to 2 hours. i was continuously refining the form of the letters and had to re-do one of the nails once. nonetheless, I think it's miles a huge achievement! except now i'm blind from the tininess of the letters.
